相敬如宾 To treat each other as an honored guest

Literally ‘to treat each other as honoured guests’, this proverb points to the mutual respect and admiration that is essential to a long and happy marriage.

This unique artwork also makes a touching anniversary gift for those wishing to surprise their partner on their wedding anniversary.

On ordering, your chosen blessing will be beautifully rendered in the centre of the scroll by our calligraphy master. Whilst the bride and groom's given names will be translated into appropriate Chinese equivalents and painted in smaller characters on the right hand side of the scroll (surnames will not be translated).

Names are usually translated semi-phonetically, as direct phonetic translations are impossible. For example Lucy as 露西 'Luxi'. Name translations may vary from one to five characters, for example Dan translates as '丹' (dān), whereas Alexandra is '亚历山德拉' (Yàlìshāndélā).

This product comes mounted on a silk scroll and presented in a deluxe silk scroll gift box.

Artwork dimensions: approx 98x29cm. Scroll mounted dimensions: approx 40x159cm (scroll baton width: 49cm). Complimentary silk gift box dimensions: approx 51.5x8x8cm.
